Gaskets for tunnel lining
Dätwyler rubber gaskets ensure watertightness and thus contribute greatly to reliable service and the protection of the electromechanical equipment in tunnels.
Project-specific solutions

The Swiss company Dätwyler Rubber is a worldwide leading provider of sealing gaskets for single-liner tunnels. Dätwyler elastomeric sealing systems are in place today in over 70 tunnels on five continents. The company develops individual solutions for each tunnel, based on the specific geologic conditions, water pressure and design requirements. Dätwyler holds numerous patents, valid worldwide, for gasket profiles, corner designs and elastomeric mixtures.
Dätwyler rubber gaskets keep tunnels watertight worldwide
For the geologically and hydrologically challenging extension of the Singapore Metro Circle Line, the engineers in charge have been counting on Dätwyler sealing gaskets for the entire project, 66 km of tunnel in total. Most of them are sealed with CoexSwell profiles. CoexSwell combines in one gasket a conventional EPDM profile plus integral swelling compound.
CoexSwell profiles are also used in other projects like: NSBT Brisbane Road Tunnel, Marmaray Railway Tunnel in Istanbul, Richmond-Airport-Vancouver Rapid Transit.

The reference list of Dätwyler Rubber includes a great many tunnel projects in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Orient. In Moscow the Vnukovo Airport tunnel and the Strogino Line of the metro system e.g. are being sealed with Dätwyler gaskets. Other current projects include the new metros in Istanbul (Otogar-Bağcılar and Kadıköy-Kartal) and Ankara, and in the Iranian cities of Esfahan and Shiraz, and in Almaty, the capital of Kazakhstan.
In Europe Dätwyler gaskets are currently being installed in the City Tunnel at Malmö and in the Katzenberg Tunnel in southern Germany, to name just two projects.
